Our House Rules & Hotel Policies
We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly hotel experience. The following Hotel Policy/House Rules have been established based on industry standards, management and operational procedures, and our personal experience of owning and operating the Jubilee Hotel. These Hotel Policy/House Rules are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you. As our hotel guest, by reading and signing our hotel registration you are agreeing to abide by all of our Hotel Policy/House Rules, terms and conditions, and procedures. These Hotel Policy/House Rules are presented here to help promote our guests’ safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understandings between The Jubilee Hotel and the guest. Our Hotel Policy/House Rules may change from time to time, so please check back often.
PENALTIES AND FINES:
WE ARE NON- SMOKING
The Jubilee Hotel is Smoking-Free. To abide by the law, safety and to assure that our facility is not exposed to items or actions that create an odour which is unhealthy and objectionable to our guests and staff, and that is difficult to remove from the air, carpet, walls, and furniture we do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense, cooking, cigars, candle burning, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in our facility.
Guests are encouraged to notify the Reception Team immediately if they smell cigarette, marijuana, or other objectionable odorous. This policy is not intended to stop people from smoking, but to regulate where they smoke and how it affects others. The Jubilee Hotel provides open spaces outside please ask the Reception Team to point you towards smoking areas. Marijuana is prohibited at all times onsite.
We do have a Restaurant Garden but this is astroturf and plastic. For this reason the garden is non smoking as you could set the whole garden on fire. Please when smoking step onto the concrete.
A fine of up to £250 will be applied to your booking if we detect smoking in the room. And a fine of £25 will be applied for smoking in our Restaurant Garden or if we see you throwing a cigarette on the ground.
CANDLE, INCENSE, ESSENTIAL OILS:
Candle, incense, essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) are prohibited. These items and activities will be treated as smoking, a fine accessed, and the guest may be evicted with no refunds.
NO-COOKING, COOKING APPLIANCES, COMBUSTIBLES, OR FIREWORKS:
The safety of our guests, staff, and this facility is extremely important to us. Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances is prohibited. A minimum fee of £300.00 will be charged for cooking in a room, including, but not limited to hot plates, toaster ovens, water heaters, rice cookers, combustible, open flame, barbecue grill, burners, heating appliance, or any other item intended for cooking. Open fires, flames or cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on hotel property. For food and coffee, please always order at the restaurant.
We do provide a kettle in the room and a microwave in our Restaurant function room for guests to warm up baby food and milk.
DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF HOTEL PROPERTY
You are liable for any damage howsoever caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room (s), hotel’s premises or property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at the hotel during your stay. We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
DAMAGE DISCOVERED AFTER CHECK-OUT:
Guest Rooms found with waste strewn around, in complete disorder, and/or “trashed” will be subject to maintenance deep cleaning fee, administration fee and/or third-party fees.
DAMAGE TO ROOM:
Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, artwork, etc. will be charge at 120% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.
DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDING:
Damage to mattresses and linen including duvets, pillows, pillowcases, duvet covers, sheets, mattress protectors, mattress toppers, runners, throws, cushions will result in a charge for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article. (We suggest being careful with make up, fake tan, and hair dye).
DAMAGE OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS/FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT:
The Jubilee Hotel reserve the right to take action against any guest or visitor found to have tampered with equipment throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests or visitors found to have tampered with fire-fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and will be evicted from the hotel. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, law enforcement may become involved at the hotel’s discretion. Should the fact that fire-fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your bank card for damage for anything that incurred to your room or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.
ROOM KEYS:
Room keys are issued to the registered guest(s). No room keys will be issued to youth under 18 at any time. I.D. is required if you have lost your key and require a duplicate. Please return room keys to Front Desk at Check-out. A £25 lost key charge will apply if you do not return your key.
QUIET HOURS:
10:00 p.m. to 8 a.m.
If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please contact our Night Team immediately on 01305 773435. Televisions, voices, or other devices must be kept at a respectful low level at all times. Doors should be opened and closed quietly. No congregating or running in terraces or alleys. A fine may be applied up to £250 if you do not follow the Night Teams guidance. We do not fine for crying babies and dogs barking.
We will offer room swaps to customers disturbed if the noise doesn’t quieten within half an hour *subject to availability.
VISITORS:
No visitors after 10:00 p.m. Visitors must notify Reception upon their arrival. Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times. Visitors are welcome to use guest amenities including services in the hotel. As a registered guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times.
NO IN-ROOM PARTY:
The Jubilee Hotel enforces a No In-Room Party Policy to ensure we can protect the hotel and our guests at all times. No parties, loud disturbances and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated on these premises. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest will be asked to leave the hotel without refund. Registered guest(s) is responsible for all persons visiting. Non-Registered visitors are only permitted until 10 P.M. If found with more “people” not listed on the Guest Registration Form after 10 P.M. your stay will be considered a party. You will be ordered to vacate the premises without refund and may be liable for Guest Compensation Disturbance Fee.
ENFORCEMENT:
All staff is trained and required to respond to potential violations of our Hotel Policy/House Rules. Guests who refuse to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by The Jubilee Hotel for the safety of all guests, staff, owners, property and the operation and management of the hotel will be evicted, with no refund. In addition other fees and fines may apply for room damages as per the Hotel Policy/House Rules.
CANCELLATION POLICIES AND CHECK IN PROCEDURES:
FLEXIBLE RESERVATIONS:
All reservations must be guaranteed with a bank card. You can cancel your reservation free of charge up until 1 day before arrival. From 12.01am on the day before your arrival 100% of your reservation is due and no money will be refunded in the case of a cancellation or no show. We will then process payment from the card details provided unless you have chosen as your payment method cash. If you have chosen cash, you have up until 6pm on the day of arrival to check in and pay or contact us on the day and give us your arrival time. After 6pm if we do not hear from you, we will process the payment from the card details provided if they decline, we will release the room and put it back on sale. Paid for rooms will be held until 3pm after the arrival day and if no-one checks in or contacts the hotel the booking will be no-showed, and the invoice folio closed. The Jubilee Hotel is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes.

CANCELLATION:
The Jubilee Hotel is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes. Please look at the cancellation policy attached to your rate. All cancellations made after any free cancellation periods have expired will be charged the full room charge inclusive of taxes.
NO SHOW CHARGES:
Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date for a reservation guaranteed will result in us putting the room back on sale by 3pm the day after you were due to check in. If you still require this room please update the hotel.
GROUP RESERVATIONS:
We build bespoke cancellation and payment policies with Group Bookings so please see your confirmation or contract.
CHECK-IN TIME: 3PM
We will check you into your room from 3pm. If you arrive in Weymouth earlier you are welcome to come check your car in at the Reception, store some luggage and pre-check in and avoid the 3pm queue with your paperwork.
EARLY CHECK-IN: 12PM
Early check-in is offered based on availability. If you require a guaranteed check-in for arrival from 12pm then this costs £10 and must be prebooked in advance.
CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:
Guests must be at least 18 years of age to check in at The Jubilee Hotel. A mean of payment in the name of the guest registration is also required. It is your responsibility to fully understand the manner in which your bank processes pre-authorizations and charges to the transfer.
PAYMENT AT CHECK-IN:
We require the full amount of your intended stay at the check-in for accommodation and all charges. It is your responsibility to be aware of how your bank handles all of your transactions, including the transfer fees.
GUEST REGISTRATION:
We require valid contact information from the guest making the reservations including first and last name, address, phone number, and signature. The names of all guests occupying the room must be registered. Information regarding your license plate/car description is also gathered at check-in for security.
CHECK-OUT TIME:
Room rental period expires at 11:00 a.m. Additional day charge will apply for late checkouts.
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE:
Check-out time is 11 a.m. Please check-out with Reception so that housekeeping may begin cleaning your room as soon as possible. If you require a later check-out, please contact Front Desk prior to the day of your departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request but it depends on availability. A charge will apply for late check-out.
EARLY DEPARTURE:
Guests who check out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date will not be refunded.
SPECIAL REQUESTS:
We will make every effort to honour special requests such as a specific room numbers, Seaview’s, baths, cots, ground floors, lift access, etc. upon your arrival. All special requests are noted on reservations, and we will do our best to accommodate. However, unless these have been guaranteed to you before your check in date then no compensation or refunds will be offered if we have none available. So, if this is a requirement of yours please confirm with reception.
PAYMENT:
All reservations and registration must be guaranteed with payment. We accept vouchers, visa, mastercard, solo and cash. All guests are required to present card details upon check in regardless of whether the balance is zero, or they want to pay using cash or apple pay as security against damages. So please bear this in mind.
DEPOSITS AND GUARANTEES:
We require valid bank cards as security against room damages. We apply fines for smoking, room damages, lost room keys and disturbing other customers after 10pm (you will get a warning first). If you cannot provide bank details please speak to our Reception Team to see if they are happy to hold a cash deposit.
RESERVATION AND PAYMENT FOR GUESTS BY PRIVATE THIRD PARTIES:
Third party payment is permitted. In the case of paying for a family member if you will not be physically present at the hotel, we must receive full payment of the intended stay including a copy of your ID, passport or driver’s license. You will be responsible for any and all damages and loss. We reserve the right to refuse reservation at any time for any reason.
RATES:
All rates are quoted in British sterling currency and are inclusive of tax. Rates may increase or decrease without notice and we will charge you the amount you booked on at the time of booking.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:
The Jubilee Hotel is privately operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) and that does not violate laws. The Jubilee Hotel has a zero-tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our hotel or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by law or the management of the hotel. The Jubilee Hotel will refuse service or evict a guest: for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations, is under the influence of drugs, or acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guest; acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests; is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the hotel for an unlawful purpose; seeks to bring into the hotel: an unlawfully possessed firearm; or something, including an explosive or hazardous or toxic substance, that is unlawful to possess and that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages, defaces, or threatens harm to hotel property or guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of room, refuses to abide by the reasonable standards or policies established for the operation and management of our hotel.
JUBILEE BREAKFAST:
Our Breakfast is either included in your room rate or it is available to purchase from £5-13. Visitors are welcome to join a registered guest for breakfast but must pay at the till.

ACCESS TO ROOMS:
Housekeeping Staff, Maintenance Team or Management Team is required to enter the room at subsequent times to clean the room, check for safety, and verify the condition of the room. Management reserves the right to enter a room for reasonable purposes, such as an emergency, housekeeping, maintenance, verify that the room, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our Hotel Policy/House Rules. In the event of suspected illegal activity, management reserves the right to summon law enforcement to aid in eviction. The right to privacy ends when a Hotel Policy/House Rule is broken. Law enforcement will be granted immediate access to hotel property and rooms of evicted guests.
CHILDREN:
Well behaved children of all ages are welcome. Children aged 4 and under stay for free when sharing a room with one or more paying adult(s), using existing bedding. As the parents, guardians, or chaperones of children you are personally and legally responsible for and must supervise them at all times. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the hotel property unsupervised. Children are not allowed in the Bar, Spa, or Escape Dungeons without being accompanied and supervised by their parent/guardian/chaperone.
DOGS:
Well behaved dogs are welcome for a £10 fee per night. Dangerous Breed dogs must be muzzled in all public areas and we will not accept banned breeds. As the owners you are personally and legally responsible for them and must supervise them at all times. They are welcome in our Restaurant and Facilities but must be on a lead. For safety reasons, please do not leave dogs unattended in guest rooms unless you are receiving a Spa Treatment or booked in for an Escape Dungeons experience. At this point please inform Reception so we can alert you if we have any concerns.
We do have an outside Restaurant Garden but this is astro turf laid over concrete and so for this reason we ask that you do not allow your dogs to urinate on the grass. (If we see you intentionally allowing this a £25 fine will be added to your booking).
ADDITIONAL BEDDING:
A limited number of cots are available upon request. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis for all the rooms. These cost £10 per night. Maximum capacity of a cot is one (1) per room but not every room will fit a cot so please check with Reception your room will fit a cot. For safety, pillows are not provided for cribs.
HOUSEKEEPING/ROOM INSPECTION:
Housekeeping is provided daily between the hours of 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Housekeeping may start as early as 6 a.m. during hunting season. This is a SMOKING – FREE hotel but only in the open spaces for the safety of everyone, EXCLUSING medical marijuana or other drugs. Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily and a detailed log is maintained on each room and linen. Rooms are rented to guests in appropriate condition without any prohibited odor. Housekeeping and Front Desk staff are trained and skilled in identifying the odors from prohibited items. If our investigation concludes that you have smoked in your room, cooked, or brought a prohibited item into our facility, you will be fined, and evicted without any refund.
LINEN CHANGING:
Your comfort is very important to us. For guests staying multiples nights, bed linen is changed on a rotation schedule. You can exchange used towels for fresh towels at Reception. If Housekeeping is unable to change a bed due to personal items left on a bed, a note will be left. Housekeeping will be happy to change your bed linens and make your beds each day if all personal items are removed and you have booked a service with Reception. Please contact our Front Desk staff if you have any additional questions or concerns.
LOST & FOUND POLICY:
The Jubilee Hotel assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please contact us immediately at the Reception and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item.
FOUND ITEMS:
The Jubilee Hotel is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. However, any item, with the exception of perishable items, left behind by our guests and found after departure by Housekeeping will be collected, logged in, and kept in a secure location for collection by the owner for up to 3 months. Records of Lost & Found items are retained for 6 months. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the guest that an item has been found. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.
RETURN:
We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you by post. You will be charged packaging and postage plus a £5 handling fee for our employee’s time. A separate receipt will be emailed to you. The Jubilee Hotel is not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during postage. So, we recommend choosing recorded postage.
UNCLAIMED ITEMS/NO CONTACT:
Lost & Found items are held for 3 months while we wait for the guest to establish contact. If we know who the guest is, we will send an email. After this deadline the unclaimed item (s) are thrown away, given to local organisations, or disposed of accordingly by the Jubilee Hotel.

ALCOHOL POLICY:
Registered guests of legal age who choose to bring their own alcoholic beverages must consume those in their room. Alcohol is available for purchase in our bar when open but is covered by our license 24/7 for registered hotel guests. For non-registered visitors we only serve alcohol from 12pm-12am.
We ask that guests drink responsibly, and we will refuse service if we think a guest is too intoxicated regardless of whether they have cocktail tickets or are part of a promotion.
We ID anyone who looks under 25 so we suggest having ID with you.
PARKING
All vehicle(s) must be listed on the registration at check-in. All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner. The Jubilee Hotel shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated by yourselves or parked on the hotel property.
We will assume liability for any damage done to the car if damaged by one of our car parking attendants. We will offer to get the damage repaired ourselves during your stay or we ask for you to provide 2-3 quotes from a garage in your home town and we will agree to cover one of them.
CAR PARKING OPTIONS
When you arrive at the hotel, please arrive at the rear of the property. Here we have 2 small car parks, and you will find our Reception Entrance just off the Restaurant Garden. If you go into the Reception our Team will offer you all available parking options and you can then choose for yourself which one you would like.
We do not guarantee parking options ahead of arrival, and it cannot be reserved (other than on our Platinum bundle package). It is first come first served; however, we work hard to assist you as best as we can. We only park 1 car per room except our Family of 6s and 7s.
Here are the parking options you will be offered-
ON SITE CAR PARK
Parking on our on site car parks is £10 per day, we also require your keys to be handed in at the Reception as to maximise parking we block cars in. If once you have purchased parking, you are taking your car out for the day please make sure the Reception Team are aware so they can save you a space for your return.
PERMITS FOR LONG STAY CAR PARK
We also offer a limited number of council parking permits for use for the Swannery and Lodmoor long stay car parks, (about a 10–13-minute walk from the hotel) which allows for free parking. However, we do preauthorise £20 on your card which shows as a pending transaction in your account. If you return the permit, we will cancel the transaction and after a few days you will see this transaction disappear.
BLUE BADGES
Blue Badge holders can park free of charge on a pay and display on the seafront at the front of the hotel and we have a limited amount of permits for the road behind the hotel that can only be used with a Blue Badge.
PAY AND DISPLAY
There is a pay and display at the front of the hotel. There are also other pay and display car parks within 5-10 minutes that Reception can guide you towards. You can pay at the meter or on the JustPark app. The Location ID is: 6218
RESIDENTIAL ON-STREET CAR PARKING
Our Reception Team can guide you to where the permit parking stops and where you can park on the street for free. This is a 5-minute walk away.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR FIRE:
Please notify the Reception in the event of a fire or other emergency. On your room door you will have our Fire Evacuation Policy.
FIRE SAFETY POLICY:
The hotel is fully equipped with FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.
WiFi ACCESS:
Access to our WiFi is free for our registered guests and a password will be provided at check in. However, no compensation will be offered in the event that the WiFi stops working as this is an extra free service we have provided and not a cost that you have occurred within your booking.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
The Jubilee Hotel makes its best efforts to ensure that all the information that appears on its website is accurate. However, no warranty, expressed or implied, is given that the information provided on this website is error-free. The Jubilee Hotel does not accept liability for any errors and/or omissions and reserves the right to change the information published at any time and without notice.
ILLNESS AND EPIDEMICS:
The Jubilee Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodations to a guest arriving with a contagious disease. In cases where sickness occurs during the stay, please notify the Reception Team. In the case of serious sickness, you may be requested to receive appropriate health care from a nearby healthcare facility. During epidemics, we are entitled to employ precautionary measures within our judgment or as required by local authorities.
INFESTATION:
The cleanliness of our rooms is extremely important to our guests. If you bring any infestation into your room or onto our hotel premises, we may charge you for any and all costs and expenses, including immediate or urgent response requirements and loss of room revenue, that we deem necessary to address the infestation.
CCTV
We do operate a CCTV camera system as it is important for the safety and security of our Guests and Employees. CCTV plays a key role in safeguarding our property and is a deterrent for criminals looking to commit theft or violence. In the event of an incident, the cameras provide comprehensive footage as evidence. CCTV cameras in the workplace also help us spot any problems with health and safety.
CCTV footage is only accessible to those with authorisation and is on in our offices and may be accessed by Managers offsite
Our CCTV camera systems are not installed in any area considered private, including bedrooms, toilets the spa and changing rooms. They are all in plain site and the only time we would have a hidden camera would be for a limited time whilst undergoing an investigation into an Employee and would most likely be on till areas, Reception or back offices.
MARKETING EMAILS
When you book with the hotel you will be automatically opted into receiving emails from us such as our confirmations, invoices, replies to requests, feedback requests and room information. We may at times then send out special offers and deals. If you would like to be opted out of marketing emails please inform reception.
MARKETING- PHOTOS
For our own marketing for our Websites, OTAs and Social Media sites we may take photos or use photos that have been taken by guests but tagged to our location. We will always blur the childrens faces unless we have permission from the parent/guardian to use them.
For adults these will be used unless we are asked not to. We are respectful and we would always ask before taking a photo where you are the main focus.
CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO THE HOTEL POLICY/HOUSE RULES:
The Jubilee Hotel reserves the right to amend, modify, change, cancel, vary or add to these Hotel Policies/House Rules or the arrangements and content featured on our Hotel website at any time without prior notice. Please check our website regularly for updates to Hotel Policy/House Rules. Any modification to these Hotel Policy/House Rules that occurs before your departure is considered a part of your reservations agreement with us. A copy of these Hotel Policy/House Rules is located on our website, in the Guest Room Notebook, and available from Front Desk staff upon request.
